Creating a new platform for basic maths and English skills

Web Design | Web Development

Turn Around are a charity providing important basic skills in maths and English for children and adults.

Their motto of 'basic skills for all' is powerful and confident. However, they're web presence really lacked to convey this essential work that they do within their community.

Working with the charity I created a bespoke website that acted as a first port of call for anyone that needed their assistance in basic maths and English skills.

Accessibility for all

The new Turn Around website needed to be simple, accessible and intuitive to navigate.

A simple colour scheme and navigation structure were implemented to allow users of mixed abilities to access the vital resources that the website provides.

The charity also needed a place for users to donate. Donations are so important in order to keep the charity going. A very simple donation system was setup that allows for on-site donations to be made.

Turn Around have a wealth of knowledge and resources that are openly available to the public. So for this reason we set up a 'Learning Portal' for users to access secure documents and essential resources.

The new website has given the charity a huge boost in confidence, as well as opened them up to a wider audience I order to deliver their vital work around their community.

"The prospect of building a new website for our organisation was daunting to me. I had been through the process once before and it was a lot of work. Still a new website was needed and we found Pine Design Studio through a Trustee contact. From the initial briefing session to the publishing of our new website, working with Chris has been straightforward, efficient and on schedule. I am very happy with the results creatively and compared to first time I built a website, this experience was pain free. Chris was very helpful handing over the ongoing management of content, very clear in guidance and very tolerant of my questions and queries going forward."
